Meg v. Clutter: Minimalism Game Day 31

I did it! My house is so much happier. I have been wanting to Kondo my house (maybe a little less severely than she recommends), and I feel like this initial purge should just be the beginning. Here's to simplifying in 2019! This game was a fun start. Thanks Mom for making me do it!

Meg v. Clutter: Minimalism Game Day 22

Every time I go in the toy room I find more to clear out. Broken toys, unused toys, toys that annoy me... It's a gold mine in there! Unfortunately my oldest son was home sick so he caught me with those black Hot Wheels tracks and confiscated them. I'm still way over 22 with that popcorn tub full of little toys, so I still win for today. Except that I still have to see that thing!

Meg v. Clutter: Minimalism Game Day 19

Can you tell I've been tackling the toy room? Much more to come from that department!

Meg v. Clutter: Minimalism Game Day 2

Because no matter how much I tell the boys that there is no such thing as girl colors, no one wants the pink plates. And too many plates means some fall out or I have to help put dishes away!

Meg v. Clutter: 31 Day Minimalism Game, Day 1

I have not been keeping track of our projects around here, but it’s a new year so I can start again! Some family and friends are doing a 31-day minimalism challenge in January. Each day we get rid of the number of item that date indicates (e.g. 1 item on day 1, 2 items in day 2, all the way to 31 items on the 31st. If anyone reads this and wants to play let me know and I’ll add you to our fun group!

Here is my day 1: a scrapbooking case that was the bane of John’s existence through countless moves. I finally found more convenient homes for my craft supplies and we aren’t planning on moving very far in the next 30 years, so time to say goodbye!
