Meg v. Clutter: Minimalism Game Day 7

My boys love these blocks from Melissa and Doug. This is the second set we have destroyed, and we will probably buy another for the last kiddos to destroy! They are so fun--stacking, knocking over, using to carry things, making gift boxes, using in their kitchen... I had to hide them before I tossed them or they would get stolen and played with even in their mangled state.

Meg v. Clutter: Minimalism Game Day 4

Meg v. Clutter: Minimalism Game Day 31

Last day! I feels good to have cleaned out so much. It would feel better if I didn't still have a whole house full of clutter! The rest of the group agreed and we are going to keep the fun going in February, so more decluttering is coming down the pipe!

Meg v. Clutter: Minimalism Game Day 30

We don't have recycling pickup in our are, and we don't have enough room in our trash for all the boxes we get, so they pile up quickly! This was another full afternoon's worth of breaking down and packing up boxes to take to recycling. Phew!

Meg v. Clutter: Minimalism Game Day 29

Clearing and packing in all of these bottles from last summer's pool care was a job for a whole afternoon! Can't wait to take these to the recycling center and say goodbye.

Meg v. Clutter: Minimalism Game Day 11

Back to my closet... Things that just don't spark joy. Once I'm back to my normal size after this baby I think I'll have a real Marie Kondo cleanout, but for now I just need to keep a variety of sizes in stock.

Meg v. Clutter: Minimalism Game Day 10

If I had my way we would have retired a lot more old shirts, but this will have to do for now.

Meg v. Clutter: Minimalism Game Day 5

My nephew loves ripping apart his dad's wallet, so we got him his own wallet for Christmas. Now to supply it with credit cards of his own...

Meg v. Clutter: Minimalism Game Day 4

Raided the hubs' closet for ties he never wore. Still have too many, but it's a start!

Meg v. Clutter: Minimalism Game Day 2

I really should buy my kids new boots before the handles rip off and the soles are holey.

Meg v. Clutter: Minimalism Game 2020, Day 1

Well it's been another year and we are at it again! Maybe this year I'll get around to documenting some of the work we've done on our last house and on our new house, but we are also having a new baby in April so I'm keeping in real and keeping my expectations low. But here is a peek into what I've been hoarding in our house and didn't manage to purge in our move last year. It's amazing how the clutter collects EVERYWHERE.

Here we go with day 1--starting the new decade right!

We inherited this one with the house! Out it goes!
